Our Shooting Star

I was staring at the sky one night,
Feeling all alone,
So sad we’d lost our shining light,
Our beautiful Simone.

The moon was full the stars were bright,
Against the darkened Sky,
It was then I saw a streak of light,
As a shooting star flew by.

I stared some more, frozen in time,
Scanning the Heavens above,
Maybe Simone will give us a sign,
To share her heavenly Love.

Glittering stars came into view,
They found it hard to hide,
I’m sure Simone is up there now,
Along with her Nan & Taid.


Simone and words, she had a knack,
Always telling her Nan & Taid,
“I Love you to the moon and back”,
A poet just like Taid.

Another flash, a star shoots by,
I’m now convinced forever,
It’s Simone up there flying high,
Sharing all our Love together.

So if you’re feeling sad and lonely,
Just look up into the sky,
Stare deeply into the heavens,
Simone WILL be flying by.
